Tallinn Christmas Markets

Tallinn’s numerous Christmas markets are perfect spots for finding beautiful and original Christmas present for friends and loved ones. We listed the best of them.

TALLINN TOWN HALL SQUARE

Christmas market in the Town Hall Square (Raekoja plats) in the Old Town is open in daily 10-19 in December.  Booths are selling local handicrafts and small bites. Hot drinks can be bought until 22:00.  Cultural program is offered on Fridays ad Saturdays 17-19 and on Sundays 12-14. 

7.12. DRAMA THEATER’S “JÕULUSAHVER”

Theater people are selling their own handicrafts and have invited selected local artisans to join them.  Theater’s café offers delicacies made by the theater staff. Traditionally these rare delicacies are sold out in the blink of an eye so be quick to get yours! Profits from the café and lottery organized during the market go directly to charity.

Wide selection of vintage clothes and gifts, especially new dresses.

12.12. KUU RUUM’S CHRISTMAS MARKET

From here you can find natural and organic cosmetic products as well as some mysticism!

13.12. TELLISKIVI FLEA MARKET VI HANDICRAFT, DESIGN AND ART MARKET

Wide selection of different handicraft products, design products and art. Good place to spot local artisans’ and artists’ creations.

19.12. ESTONIAN ART ACADEMY’S CHRISTMAS MARKET

This is THE Christmas market. Great place to find original art pieces, jewelry etc. to put in Santa’s sack. Lots of different materials available.

19.12. MONDO’S CHRISTMAS BAZAAR

Fair trade handicrafts from Uganda, Ghana, Kenya and Afganistan. Also fair trade cocoa and coffee.

20.12. DESIGN MARKET “HOME FOR CHRISTMAS”

If Christma’s is approaching faster than expected this is a great place to find last minute presents. Estonia’s and Lithuania’s best designers sell their products in the harbor. Selection is quite versatile.
